We'd had the same beige sideboard since we moved in. Boring as anything. Swapped it for this black rattan sideboard and the difference was obvious from the moment it was assembled. The tapered legs keep it off the floor so it doesn't feel heavy in the room, and the woven panels break up the dark frame nicely. We're in a light-coloured UK semi so the contrast works well.
