EPA has postponed the TSCA PFAS reporting deadline a third time, but the obligation behind it has not changed. Under TSCA Section 8(a)(7), any company that manufactured or imported PFAS, including PFAS in finished articles, between 2011 and 2022 must still report. The submission period now opens on January 31, 2027, or 60 days after EPA’s revised rule takes effect, whichever comes first. Proposed exemptions for imported articles and a 0.1% de minimis threshold are not yet final, so the original scope still applies.

This guide from Certivo explains what changed in the April 2026 final rule (91 FR 18786) and the full timeline of delays since 2023. It covers who must report, what data EPA requires, and which industries are in scope, from electronics and automotive to medical devices and textiles. It also covers the practical work of rebuilding twelve years of manufacture and import records across a multi-tier supply chain, plus a six-step checklist to stay audit-ready.
