We'd had a pale wardrobe and a dark chest of drawers in the same bedroom for four years. It never looked right. The drawers and wardrobe set in navy blue brought everything into line same finish, same oak-effect tops, same shaker-door style. The room made more sense after they went in. The wardrobe has a proper hanging section and the drawers are deep. We're in a UK terrace and the navy blue works well in a room with wooden floors and neutral walls.
