"The red and yellow colors are the official colors of the Church of Sweden. The colors have a symbolism where the red color stands for fire, blood and love. Red can also be "God's color", symbolizing God's love. The gold color is a symbol of eternal light, God's glory and power, unearthly greatness (heaven), God's goodness, faithfulness and goodwill towards people. The crown in the middle of the flag represents Christ's victory crown, and the colors are arranged in a background and a cross, like many national flags, where the cross symbolizes Christianity."
