A portable pH meter is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a solution.A typical pH meter consists of a glass electrode and a reference electrode. The glass electrode is sensitive to hydrogen ions and generates a voltage signal in response to changes in pH.The reference electrode provides a stable reference potential against which the pH electrode's potential is measured. The generated voltage is converted into a pH reading by the internal electronics of the pH meter.
